Jessica Klemeier will focus on developing an overall concept for the EU's research strategy and will also support the development and implementation of the measures derived from it.
After completing her master's degree in international relations with a focus on European affairs at the University of Bologna, Jessica Klemeier started her career with a traineeship in the International Relations Department at EMBL in Heidelberg. She then moved to the IT department there, where she worked as a project officer until 2024. Her focus was on promoting interdisciplinary and international exchange and open access to research data, particularly within the framework of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and other open science initiatives.
