NEW: Starting this winter semester, we will be organizing the "Funding Days" together with RU Bochum.

Date Funding Days: 2nd – 6th of February, 2026

In the winter semester, the Funding Days will focus on EU funding. In addition, insights into the German funding landscape will be provided. For one week, digital events will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the variety of national and international funding opportunities. We will introduce you to the main funding institutions and explain the most important programs and formats. We offer a diverse program of short presentations and one-hour sessions. All sessions will include ample time for questions and discussion.

Der EIC (European Innovation Council) im EU-Forschungsrahmenprogramm Horizon Europe dient der Förderung von Projekten mit radikal neuen, bahnbrechenden Ideen. DFG Individual Research Grants are the most popular funding option in Germany due to their high degree of flexibility: Researchers from all disciplines can apply and tailor their individual projects to the DFG's modular funding system. A DFG Individual Research Grant is suitable as an entry point into third-party funding for early-career researchers and also allows experienced researchers to carry out projects in basic research. In this presentation, you will get an overview of the grant objectives and the application process as well as practical tips for your application.
