Grants Services

Dr. Felix Stehle

Felix Stehle has been working as a funding consultant at the Research Support Services since May 2020 and has headed the Grants Office since September 2023. He supports and advises the researchers in all aspects of application.


Felix Stehle studied biochemistry at the Martin-Luther-University in Halle/Saale. After completing his doctorate at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry, he transferred to TU Dortmund University at the end of 2012. From 2014, he was head of a research group at the Department of Biochemical and Chemical Engineering and gained valuable experience in research and project management.

Dr. Julia Lönnendonker

Julia Lönnendonker has been working in Research Support Services in the area of funding advice since April 2024. She provides advice on various funding agencies and formats in all phases of an application. She is the department's contact person for departments 1, 3, 6, 14 and 15 and advises researchers in all phases of the application process and in the selection of funding providers and funding formats.

Julia Lönnendonker studied Geography, Political Sciences and Media Studies at the University of Bonn and Journalism at Emerson College in the USA. She completed her doctorate at the Institute for Journalism at TU Dortmund University. She worked as a research associate at the Institute of Journalism at TU Dortmund University and the Erich Brost Institute for International Journalism. She then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Vrije Universiteit Brussels and as a lecturer at Deutsche Welle.

Dr. Sabine Hunze

Dr. Sabine Hunze has been working at the Research Support Services as funding consultant since April 2023. She is the contact person of the unit for the faculties 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and advises researchers at TU Dortmund University in all phases of the application process, in the selection of suitable funding sources, and funding formats.

Sabine Hunze studied geology at the University of Bonn and RWTH Aachen and received her PhD in the field of borehole geophysics in Hannover/Clausthal-Zellerfeld. After several years in science, she moved to the University of Münster in 2013 to work in science management as scientific coordinator in two collaborative research centers/transregios.

Grants Services

Dr. Darius Harwardt

Darius Harwardt has been working in Research Support Services in the area of funding advice and EU project management since May 2019. He provides advice on various funding agencies and formats in all phases of application. He is absent until the end of June 2025.


Darius Harwardt studied history, biology, and geography at the Ruhr-University Bochum and subsequently received his doctorate in history. He worked as a research assistant at the University of Duisburg-Essen and the Documentation and Research Centre of the Social Insurance Agency in Bochum.

Grants Services

Dr. Stefanie Gottuck

Stefanie Gottuck has been working at the Research Support Services since August 2021. She is the department's contact person for Faculties 11, 12, 13, 16 and 17 and advises researchers in all phases of the application process and in the selection of funding providers and funding formats.

After studying chemistry and earning her doctorate at RWTH Aachen University, Stefanie Gottuck worked in scientific project management at the Center for Molecular Transformations. From these many years of experience, she brings a broad range of expertise in the acquisition of third-party funding and the administration of scientific projects.
