The European Research Council (ERC) is a flagship component under “Horizon Europe” – the European Union's new Framework Program for Research and Innovation. Funding is available for researchers from all disciplines. The decisive evaluation criterion is the scientific excellence of the submitted research project and the applicant.

The opportunities and requirements for submitting an application for the ERC Starting or ERC Consolidator Grant will be the subject of the event offered by the EU team of the Science Support Centre of the University of Duisburg-Essen.

The European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KoWi) will provide an overview of the program and submission requirements. Additionally, two successful applicants and mentors of the UDE ERC Mentoring Program will share their experiences and provide helpful insights and tips for the application process.

The event will be held in English.
